Now. . . for those of you who know what the A to Z blog challenge is and/or have done it before,  Glad to welcome you back this year!

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about. . . good news.  I am here to tell you!
Just kidding. . . No I'm not.
Okay no really,  I am going to tell you about it.

The A to Z blog challenge is. . . okay nope. I have decided that it is better for me to send you to a place that can show you what it is I am talking about  rather than me try to tell you some more.

Okay how about I just tell you the short version and you can check out the long version Here

Short Version:
The A to Z April blog Challenge is where you post everyday in April minus Sundays, giving you exactly enough days to do 26 posts in April.  Each post is based around the letter of the day.  So April 1st,  the letter will be 'A'.  That means on April 1st. you post about something that starts with the letter A.  Then on April 2nd you post about something that starts with the 'B'.  Get it?

Now I know that this may sound absolutely terrifying to some  (I know because when I first heard about it I was terrified and I backed out.  Big mistake)

Don't back down.  Don't not participate because it sounds like a big bad scary blogging task.  Trust me,  this is going to be AMAZING!

I am part of the team putting it together this year and I am still terrified.  But I know that it will be worth it!

So that you know what it is,  I suppose you want to know where it is. . . well that's kinda obvious.  On your blog of course!  And here.  And on the team members blogs.  Okay I will quit with the jokes.

HERE is where you can go to find out more.
(The link also takes you to the LONG story of how the challenge works)

And don't forget about it either!  Sign Ups start January 30th!

Now that you know about it,  And you know the team members,  And you know when to sign up, And when the challenge starts, And where it is,  do you want to know what I will be blogging about throughout April, from A to Z?

. . . .Yeah I would like to know that to. . . .

  6. Once you have a theme, the daily posts fall right into place. I have mine outlined and have already started filling them out. For this event I keep them around 300 words or so. Simple and to the point is my philosophy.

  7. I can see that you're going to have fun with this. That's what I like--keep it light-hearted and fun so it doesn't seem like a daunting task because it really isn't. It's blogging as usual except alphabetically themed.

Thanks for the great kick-off post. Looking forward to see what you come up with.

  8. Sounds a bit overwhelming, but fun. Count me in as your newest follower, and probably as a newbie participant in the challenge, as well.

  9. Plan ahead and it's a lot of fun! Glad you're on board as one of the hosts.

  10. Stephen said to drop by. I'm a loyal foot solider and am also following. I'm on the fence about A-Z, but positively so. Think I can write ahead/post.

  11. Yeah, I haven't figured out what I'll be blogging about in the challenge, but it will come to me...probably at the last minute, despite my best efforts. I remember that fear before I officially entered last year, and then the sudden regret that I had, but it was all worth it. Looking forward to working with you this time around!

  12. SO... the idea is to stick with a specific theme throughout? And use the A-Z to explore that theme? aha! Maybe I need to go read the long explanation...

  13. Lauren -- A theme is an optional approach that some have used to make the Challenge easier or just because they wanted to address a certain topic. You can always be totally random like me if you prefer. I'm going with a theme this year just because I've never done it that way yet. Then again, I might end up being random and just start tossing stuff out there.

  18. Nice to meet you, Konstanz! I'm curious as to what nationality your name is from. My "real" name is Katrina, not Tina, and it's Swedish, as I am. The spelling of your name makes me think Eastern Europe...Is it pronounced the same way as the English name "Constance"?
I'm excited to be co-hosting with you!

Wonderful to meet you as well. Thanks for stopping by. ‘Kontanz Silverbow' is my pen name. Not my real name (though they are super close.) ‘Konstanz' is German and yes I pronounce it the same as ‘Constance' (My real name). Glad to be a part of the team. Thanks for the welcome!

  25. Will the posts be book related?

    1. They for sure can be but are not limited to and do not have to be. All of my posts will be in some way book related but I know another blog who is doing all their posts about camping. So it is specific to each person participating.
