Bringing in the New Year with ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!

First off, before we get into the party, let me just say HAPPY NEW YEAR

Alright, so what are we doing for this party, you ask?  Well giving away books of course!

Meet our wonderful Authors!!

Hi! My name is Tristi Pinkston, and I am a headless chicken. No, seriously. I'm a stay-at-home homeschooling mom to four children, a work-at-home full-time freelance editor and writing mentor, the author of fourteen (soon to be fifteen) books as well as my Write It Right series of booklets for beginning writers, and I sit on the board of directors for iWriteNetwork. I'm also the managing editor for GospelIdeals.org. So yeah, I'm pretty busy. I love reading, I love writing, I love pretty much everything having to do with books. I'm excited to be part of this event! You can learn more about me at http://www.tristipinkston.com, which is my site, or http://www.tristipinkston.blogspot.com, which is my blog.

My name is Scott Bryan and I'm the author of the Night Children series. They are Middle Grade books that feature vampire children and thier adventures through history. They are Historical fiction fantasy. I'm also writing a high end fantasy for the same age range (11-14) involving an elf and his fantasy creature friends who embark on a journey and wide up stranded in our world.

I've also enjoyed creating stories and sharing them with others but in 2004 I began my first novel. I'm a member of the League of Utah Writers, Tooele division. I enjoy speaking to schools and classrooms and inspiring future readers and writers. I've just finished the principle edits on the second book in the Night Children series and have sent it to beta readers. The first book, Night Children: Dark Birth and my short story, Night Children: Dark Threats, are available on Amazon and Barns & Noble.com. I continue to enjoy writing and hope to one day do it full time.

Allusive Aftershock Release Day Blitz

Title: Allusive Aftershock
By: Susan Griscom
Genre: Young Adult Romance
Published by Amber Glow Books
Release date: December 23, 2012
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blurb:
What happens when a major earthquake changes life as you know it and the boy you thought you hated
ends up saving you? Three times!
Courtland Reese is the guy everyone hates and makes fun of because … well, he is weird. He
communicates with animals. Strange or interesting, seventeen-year-old Adela Castielle can’t quite figure
out, but when he saves her from being trampled by her own horse, she begins to understand him a little
better and wants to learn more about him.
But, Max--her best friend/dream guy/someday-to-be-her-husband-only-he-doesn’t-know-it-yet--hates
Courtland with a passion. Adela wants to know why, except neither boy is talking.
When Max leaves her stranded in his parents' wine cave with his worst enemy, Courtland, after what
the experts are calling a “megathrust” earthquake, Adela starts to question her loyalty to Max as steamy
kisses in a dark damp cellar only fuel her emotions with more conflict.
But does she really have time to worry about that when fire, destruction and mayhem surround her?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Allusive Aftershock is a story about a major
earthquake and contains situations involving death and destruction. It is highly emotional and there is
some mild sexual content because, it is after all, a romance. J

A note from Susan:

My friends and family know me as Susan Griscom, but I write the Whisper Cape series under
the name of Regan Walsh. Visit my blog: http://swblog.susangriscom.com

I daydream often and sometimes my daydreams interrupt my daydreams. So I write to
remember them. If I didn't write, I think my mind would explode from an overload of fantasy
and weirdness. To the annoyance of my friends and family, my characters sometimes become
a part of my world. During my childhood, I would frequently get in trouble in school for
daydreaming. Eventually, my vivid imagination paid off and I had the privilege of writing
and co-directing my sixth-grade class play—a dreadful disaster, though not from my writing,
of course, I must blame it on the acting.

I enjoy writing about characters living in small quaint towns and tend to lean toward the
unusual and spooky.

My paranormal playing field delves into a different milieu, abandoning vampires and
werewolves, but not discounting them. Someday I might like to write a novel about vamps
and those furry creatures. But for now I like the bizarre mixed with romance. A strong hero
or heroine confronted with extraordinary forces of nature, powers and capabilities gets my
blood running hot.

Twelve Books for Christmas: Book Eleven (INT)

Please welcome Heidi Acosta, author of Barbie Girl!

Here is where you can find Heidi and the book:

Book Blurb:
The only thing that 17 year old Barbie Starr wants to do is graduate high school so she and her little brother, Everett, can get out of Alabama. She doesn’t care about the rumors that are spread around about her like wild fire. Rumors are nothing new to her. Sure, maybe she could change her reputation, but why bother. She is leaving Alabama as soon as she can. That is, if she can pass algebra and graduate.

The only thing Dylan Knight would like to do is go through high school unnoticed; he has had enough of the drama that is high school. He took the whole of last summer to bulk-up: finally he is not being called names or being shoved into lockers. He wants to remain on the outside of the circle of constant rumors that surround the so-called popular kids who get all the attention. He would not, however, mind if his long time crush Katie took notice of him.

But it is Barbie who notices Dylan and she offers him a deal he can’t pass up: if he helps her pass algebra, she’ll help him get the girl of his dreams. Dylan agrees, but, as it turns out, nothing is simple when it comes to Barbie. Somehow, she can’t help but draw attention to herself — and to him. Soon Dylan finds himself tossed into the whirlwind of rumors that seem to follow Barbie everywhere. Can he save his reputation and still get the girl of his dreams? Or will Barbie be the one to break through his carefully-built facade?

Author Interview:
Konstanz: Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

Heidi: I am a Mother, wife, the oldest sister of three younger brothers and one sister. I am a good listener and problem solver. I love chocolate, reading, going to the beach, shopping for sparkly shoes, and oversize purses. I love to watch funny movies, my current favorite one is Elf.

Konstanz: What inspired you to write?

Heidi: I have always written ever since I could spell. Instead of keeping a journal when I was younger, which I found rather boring repeating my day’s events, I wrote short stories instead.

Konstanz: What advice can you give to aspiring authors?

Heidi: I have three rules that I follow when writing that I picked up from other Authors along the way. One, to just WRITE even if it is not your best work, keep writing! Barbie was a character from another novel I was working on and she inspired a whole new story. So keep writing you never know what will blossom from the rubble. Two, to write for yourself, and only yourself this is my most important piece of advice, because when I start to write for someone else, it is never as good as when I write for myself. And three, write what scares you a little bit.

Konstanz: Tell us three of your favorite things about winter.

Heidi: Snow, boots, and Christmas lights

Konstanz: How long did it take to write your debut novel?

Heidi: I began at the end of July and had it finished in September.

Konstanz: Would you change anything if you had to start over with writing the novel?

Heidi: No, because I learned so much about myself when I wrote Barbie Girl. Every experience good or bad was a learning experience for me.

And now. . the giveaway!

Heidi is giving away ELEVEN E-copies of Barbie Girl!  (INT)

Twelve Books for Christmas: Book Ten (INT)

Please welcome Jacinta Maree, author of My Demonic Ghost!

Here is where you can find Jacinta and the book:

Book Blurb:
Rachael has traveled to Whitehaven to visit her father, a trek she can not help but dread given his recent descent into madness. Upon her arrival she realizes his deterioration has not only been mental, it’s been physical as well. His death comes as no surprise, but what she discovers soon after, is shocking when his burden becomes hers.

Lock is a banished spirit who must attach himself to a human host in order to hide from those who would drag him back to hell to be destroyed. When he meets Rachael he finds more than a host, he finds an ally.

Together they must defeat each of the seven sins in order to guarantee Lock's safe passage into the Third Realm, a loophole in creation that would allow him to escape hell and have peace at long last. Through their unlikely friendship, other banished spirits flock to them in hopes of a peace they hadn't dreamt possible.

Author Interview:

Konstanz: Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

Jacinta: My name is Jacinta and I go by the pen name Jacinta Maree. I am Australian, born and raised in Melbourne where there are four seasons in one day but mostly winter. Since I was just a kid I've been using precious homework time to indulge in writing where my first completed story ever was about a house infested with bats. I am a cat person and my favourite travel destination is Japan. So far I’ve been there twice; my last trip was in June 2012 where my friend and I travelled all around Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima. We dressed up as Geisha, slept in Ryokans and capsule hotels. We went to vampire cafes, butler cafes, cat cafes and prison theme restaurants. It was truly a unique and amazing experience. I’m already planning my return trip.

·         Konstanz: How long did it take you to write your first novel?

Jacinta: This book in particular, My Demonic Ghost- Banished Spirits took me 6 years to write. In my defence that was lazy writing. I would spend more time rereading and editing than actually writing. It wasn't till I went to night classes for writers that I finally pushed myself into writing the ending.

·     Konstanz:     Is the first novel you ever completed published?

Jacinta: My Demonic Ghost is the first novel I’ve taken seriously enough to go through professional editing. It is my first novel to be published and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. This has been such a fantastic learning curve for me, not only am I strengthening my own voice but I get to surround myself with new and fresh authors from around the globe.

·    Konstanz:      What time of day do you get your best writing done?

Jacinta: Mostly in the mornings, by the afternoons I am too exhausted to write and I just end up falling asleep on top of the keyboard. To me nothing is better than waking up with a warm hot tea and sitting in my pyjamas knowing I can escape into my books without distractions.

·   Konstanz:       Favorite type of Music?

Jacinta: I honestly don't have a favourite, music is very important with the creativity process as it allows me to imagine different scenarios and different emotions depending on the type of music. So for a more romantic atmosphere I enjoy to play love music, whereas for a fight scene or a horror scene I enjoy playing darker genres. I'll admit though, I love instrumental music that you find in movies like lord of the rings and transformers; it can trigger so many different feelings without having to change the channel.

·     Konstanz:     Favorite activity that is unrelated to writing?

Jacinta: I love video games. I don’t even care how nerdy that makes me sound, I especially love anything made by Bioware. They seem to be the masters at story line games. In particular, I loved Dragon Age and now I’m really getting into the last installment of Mass Effect. Talk about having multiple twists and turns, that most amazing part is that the story line changes drastically depending on your choices throughout the adventure. It’s almost like there are five different versions in the one game.

And now. . the giveaway!

Jacinta is giving away TEN e-copies of My Demonic Ghost!! (INT)

Twelve Books for Christmas: Book Seven (US/INT)

Please welcome MB Mulhall, author of Near Death!

Here is where you can find her:

Here is where you can find her book:

Book Blurb:

So far the count is: Aya 2 - Death 0, but that’s a record that may be broken in the very near future.

The shy 16-year-old loner and her little brother narrowly escape being flattened by a bus when Gabriel, a classmate, is warned by a mysterious green-eyed boy of Aya’s impending demise. He races to her aid, not only saving her life but bringing with him new friends, his twin Marisol and best bud, Jackson.

The green-eyed boy, Christoph, is actually an Angel of Death banished back to earth. They don’t quite know what to make of him. Christoph saved Aya because she reminded him of a long lost love, but when he finds it hard to assimilate to modern time will he want to finish the job of crossing her over in an attempt to get back to where he came from?

Danger escalates when Gabriel's jealous ex, Sara, tries to win him back, her antics turning from annoying to potentially deadly; another Angel of Death appears spouting ominous and cryptic messages and secrets both Jackson and Marisol harbor threaten to tear the friends apart. They must put differences behind them and come clean because Aya may be running on borrowed time. If so, Death may win the game.

Author Interview: Konstanz

Konstanz:  Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

MB: I'm a Jersey girl, born and bred and I love my state, even in its currently somewhat devastated state (stupid storms). I devour books and might have an reading addiction kind of problem. I tend to read between 100-200 books a year. I kept track one year! Do they make a 12 step program for that?
When I'm not reading or writing, I'm taking pictures or making stuff. Woo crafts! I'm also the type of gal you'll spot in the grocery or clothing store singing along with the muzak. I promise I'm not tone deaf so no need to avoid me if you come across me singing somewhere.
My ultimate dream is to be able to fill at least one shelf on my bookshelf with my own published books and fill my walls with pictures I've taken during my travels around the world!

   Konstanz: Are you Right or Left Handed?

MB: I am right handed!  but playing instruments (especially piano) has made me pretty proficient with my left hand at many things.

Konstanz: Coke or Pepsi?

MB: Pepsi please...although I should be cutting out soda completely. Damn empty calories that just taste good....

Konstanz: Are any of your characters based on family members?

MB: OOooh not family members but I've based characters on exes and people who weren't especially nice to me. Writing is awesome for revenge you can't carry out in real life!

Konstanz: Where did you start when you knew you wanted to be a writer?

MB: I started writing very young, trying to write my own versions of the Ramona Quimby books. I wonder what ever happened to them...anyway I took quite a long break from writing (damn writer's block) but about five years back, I decided I really need to get back into writing and release all the ideas that had been bubbling in my head for years.

Konstanz: Tell us four fun facts about yourself!

MB: 1) My educational background is in Comparative Literature & Languages (besides Elementary Ed) so I studied Spanish, Japanese a little Latin and a little Russian.

2) I have three tattoos and am dying for more. They really are kind of addictive but I find many of them to be stunningly beautiful pieces of art. Some people frown upon body art, but in my opinion I just wear my art for others to see rather than hang it on the walls where less folks will see it.

3) I'm quite the Whovian.  For those who don't know, that means I'm a big fan of the long running BBC show, Doctor Who. It's fun, mostly family friendly with some swoon-worthy actors and a lot of comedy.  I admit I only got on the bandwagon when the reboot came around but I'm getting through some of the older episodes as well. It's some really great writing and I love that there are episodes written by some of my favorite authors like Neil Gaiman and Douglas Adams!

4) I love zombies. For the past several years I have dressed and participated in a local zombie walk. I even made the Guinness World Book of records for being a part of the largest gathering of zombies in one place!

MB is pretty awesome, no doubt about it!
This giveaway is pretty awesome too.  MB is  giving away 5 e-copies of her book and two Hardbound copies!!!!  (e-copes= INT.  Hardbound copies=US Only)
