Norns (in Norse mythology) are each attached to their own living human child. Their job is to watch over the child's life. Norns are known as the Guardians of Fate.
Norns have another name as well, (three to be exact). Urd, Verdandi and Skud. These names mean Past (Urd), Present (Verdandi), and Future ( Skud).

ReplyDeleteFrom what I read, nothing really specifies how long they are with you. I believe when it says Child, it just means that it was with you from when you are young. I would like to believe that your Norn stays with you for all of your life. :)

ReplyDeleteAs I said in another comment, I think they pretty much stay with you forever. They just connect with you when you are a child. Nothing I found about them really specified though.
