For this post I am not talking about any one dagger, but what a dagger actually is. Because Daggers and Knives tend to get confused. (And of course, you can guess for K, I will be talking about Knives).
So what is a Dagger?
A short, double edged weapon used for stabbing or thrusting.
Here is a list of things that make it a dagger rather than a knife or sword.
- Double Edged, both sides of the blade are sharp.
- It is short.
- Better balanced.
- You don't chop your vegetables with a dagger. (Well not usually, I don't actually know if YOU cut your veggies with a dagger.)

DeleteI agree with Sarah, now I want to try cutting my onions and mushrooms with a dagger. Sounds so much more exciting. With my luck, I'd probably cut my finger off though.

DeleteI actually have no desire to cut my vegetables with a dagger, because I like having the safe edge when I wipe off the veggies stuck on the blade... and it's easier to wash. :)
ReplyDeleteMe neither. I prefer to use my weapons for what they were made for. Wow, that sounded so much better in my head. I promise I don't use my daggers for what they are intended. They are decoration pieces.

Not necessarily. Length is more of a definition factor between dagger/knife and sword. Because daggers and knives vary.
