You see my friend David Farland (Wolverton) has a son who was just in a long-boarding accident. They had Life-Flight him to Las Vegas, put him in a medically induced coma due to a crushed skull, many broken bones, bruised lungs, broken ear drum, and many other injuries.
And the bill is already reaching 4 million dollars.
SO, If you haven't read any of his books now would be a fantastic time to go get them and help support a friend, and his family during a really hard time for them!

DeleteWow... I don't think anyone really jumps for joy when something like this happens, but I can appreciate some beautiful parts of humanity, like the way you're using your platform and outreach to funnel support towards David and his son.
ReplyDeleteTruly a beautiful post, Konstanz, and although I'm a total stranger here, I'll do what I can to help, starting with tweeting this to my followers.
P.S. I'd love to see more people supporting each other like this, (and not just when intense physical pain is involved.)
Thank you. As soon as I heard about it I knew I had to do something. I know if things were the other way and I was going through this, I would want the support.
DeleteThank you. Thank you, thank you!
Me too! I am all about supporting others. No matter what.
I hope his son will recover. Praying that things will get better soon.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Thank you!

DeleteI heard about his son. I hope he gets feeling better soon. I've met David. He's a lovely person, and a great sharer of the writing craft.
ReplyDeleteMe too! David really is!
DeleteThis is very sad. I hope he recovers and that they get the help they need.
ReplyDeleteYes it is. It does seem he is getting better. And that is good.
DeleteI'm praying for all of them. He looks like such a great kid. I'm so sorry that he and his family have to go through something so tragic. Please let us know how he is doing. Again...praying!
ReplyDeleteI am sure the family truly appreciates all the prayers they can get. Thank you!
DeleteI will be posting more about it tomorrow.
