Knives

You know what a Dagger is. Now I am going to teach you what a knife is. And what makes them different.

What is a knife?

A sharp blade used for slicing, chopping, and cutting.

And here are a list of things that make a knife different from a dagger or sword:

  • One Edged, only one side of the blade is sharp.
  • They are shorter than swords.
  • Not good for thrusting or stabbing, they usually don't have as good of balance.
  • You use a knife to cut vegetables and other food products. (Unlike the sword and dagger.)

*Disclaimer: I have done extensive research on each of these weapons. I am aware that there are many different versions of each of these weapons. I am not trying to spread false information. If you know and can prove any information wrong, please let me know and I will fix my errors.  I have at least three references for all research on the weapons I will discuss through the challenge.

  1. This is one weapon I actually know. I use a knife everyday for cooking and more. Never attacked anyone, though.(just in case you were wondering)

    1. I think aside from guns, swords, and bows, this is the most common weapon I will mention. There are just too many others to name all the usual ones. :) And glad you clarified, I was worried . . .

      I'm just kidding! :)

  2. All this time, I've been cutting vegetables with a dagger. No wonder I was having problems!

  3. I love a good knife. The one thing that makes it difficult to cut is a dull blade. I hate visiting someone to help cook, only to find that their knives are almost impossible to use, and they have no sharpeners! I don't really like cooking anyway, so it's rather infuriating.

  4. Not my first weapon of choice, but still capable of inflicting damage in a pinch. Ceramic blade anyone?
